“Tell me what you don’t like about yourself…” Arisen from the nib of Ryan Murphy, Nip/Tuck focuses on Sean McNamara (Dylan Walsh, Everwood, Unforgettable) and Christian Troy (Julian McMahon, Charmed, NCIS: Los Angeles), two doctors who own a controversial plastic surgery practice. Sean learned the ropes to remodel the bodies of the deformed and the mutilated. However, on his journey, he went off the rails and began performing vanity procedures. His work with young women in the beauty industry brings forth problems at home. The marriage of Sean and Julia (Joely Richardson, The Tudors, Titanic: Blood and Steel) is slowly falling apart. The couple has three children… Matt (John Hensley, The Sopranos, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation), Annie (Kelsey Batelaan, 8 Simple Rules, She Spies) and Connor. At one point, Sean falls prey to one of his patients’ charms. The affair with Megan O’Hara (Julie Warner, Scrubs, House), a breast cancer survivor, continues until he confesses it to Matt and tries to bring it to an end.

An arrogant, narcissist and womanizing plastic surgeon who worships the wine, the women and the shekels, Christian will do just about anything (blackmail, lie, deceive or steal) to get what he wants. While Sean takes his job very seriously, he is often under the necessity of fixing some of Christian’s mistakes. Anesthesiologist and the “voice of reason” at McNamara/Troy, Liz Cruz (Roma Maffia, Ghost Whisperer, Criminal Minds) makes wrong right. She and Christian use to cut and trust. As birds of a feather flock together, Kimber Henry (Kelly Carlson, Monk, Castle), Christian’s on-again, off-again girlfriend, is extremely narcissistic and self-conscious about her looks. Strange to say, she is a former model, porn actress and producer. Unlike Sean, Christian enjoys gathering life’s roses and living on the knife edge. Thus and so, he found his match in Gina Russo (Jessalyn Gilsig, Prison Break, Heroes), an angry, bitter, HIV-positive woman with strong sex drive. Among Sean and Christian’s workfellows also rank Grace Santiago (Valerie Cruz, True Blood, Homeland), the staff psychologist, and Quentin Costa (Bruno Campos, Numb3rs, Private Practice), an openly bisexual plastic surgeon originally from Atlanta.

As if things weren’t complicated enough, the duo makes contact with a few unfriendly faces like a ruthless drug lord from South America, a life coach who controls and manipulates people’s minds for her own twisted amusement, a mysterious psychopath, a merciless businesswoman and extortionist, a brutal sociopath who uses her charms to get what she wants and the list continues.
