Abrams (Lost, The Office) and Jonathan Nolan (The Dark Knight, The Dark Knight Rises), Person of Interest is a crime thriller which revolves around an unusual team… Harold Finch (Michael Emerson, Lost) enlists the help of John Reese (Jim Caviezel, The Prisoner), a presumed dead former Green Beret and CIA field officer, to prevent violent crimes from occurring. A software genius who devised a program that gleans information from omnipresent surveillance cameras to identify people about to be involved in violent crimes, Harold Finch needed John Reese’s covert operations’ skills. So said, so done! To cut a long story short, using a computer system, the two keep one step ahead of the present. Without a doubt, tough times foster unlikely partnerships.

Before meeting Finch, Reese lost his lover, Jessica, event which marked him deeply. Apart from his skill in the use of a range of weapons, hand to hand combat and surveillance tactics, this soldier’s background is shrouded in mystery. Unsurprising at all, his new associate is equally enigmatic. Following the death of his business partner, Finch lives and works in an abandoned library. He focuses on unriddling the mystery of the “person of interest” and stopping the crime before it happens. However, the system has a flaw. It doesn’t reveal what the crime will be, when it will occur or even if the person they’re after is a victim or perpetrator.

John Reese coerces NYPD Detective Lionel Fusco (Kevin Chapman, Criminal Minds) into helping them. Moreover, Reese’s actions draw the attention of Joss Carter (Taraji P. Henson, House) who investigated him for his vigilante activities. Although Carter and Fusco are partners in the NYPD, neither is aware that the other found a new hobby.

With infinite crimes to investigate, Reese and Finch give a new meaning to the word “synchronized”…
