First of all, you “devoted Catholic and Christians” barely know what your talking about. I have studied the bible and taken many classes on religion and been to church. Before you attack someone else and ask god to forgive them but still cuss in the same sentence, ask yourself if god would be proud of you? Like other people have mentioned, it is crazy how some people are so quick to judge when someone is a homosexual but how quick are they to judge themselves and their sins? im guessing everyone knows the answer to that. Have you ever heard the saying “only God can judge”?

I dont think they should show these horrible things in a great show. Every thing that is wrong with this world should be deleted from all TV shows because if not i'll somehow be influenced to the 'bad side.
Desperate housewives will just never be the same without gay people,affairs,divorce,scams,lies,murder,bribing vicars etc. In fact desperate housewives would no longer exist. Neither would any other show-because wake up people shows mirror real life (with a little drama added of course).
I dont know how people can be so narrow minded???Your the same person who watches a program with scams,lies,murder etc. for entertainment purposes-wheres your morals now? (unless of corse you watch DH for educational purposes-which you dont).
Unfortunatelty it seems God made a huge mistake giving people the most important feeling of 'love'- it seems he forgot to make everyone love the opposite sex. Its all right though he'll correct this mistake by throwing them into hell on judgement day so they cant tell anyone in heaven.
If someone doesnt beleive that being gay is right-then thats fine-everyone has an entitlement to thier own opinion. But posting derogatory comments about people who have done nothing wrong to you is ridiculous-its not very religious if you ask me.
I suppose its ok for you to judge all gay people as bad without knowing them – yet for a gay person to judge all straight people as bad would be wrong. Because your right. Because your straight. No because you are the majority. I would like to take this opportunity to inform all left handed people-You are wrong! because most people are right handed. See what i mean?

I just want to clarify before someone jumps down on me. The key to my post is sarcasm. I dont at all beleive that being gay is wrong.
And to the person who said gay sexual intercourse is just not right it doesnt make sense: look at it this way -a relationship is about loving someone. some people dont even have sex (gay and straight) so defining by intercourse doesnt really work. Also a small minority have been known in the past to improvise sex with their hands. I suppose this is a new form of sexual orientation we havnt defined yet.
Ive never posted anything like this on the internet EVER. I dont mean to offend anyone- i just want people to realise everything isnt so clear cut as the media makes out (inc. the Bible).

and i am not religious!! God does make mistakes! he gives free will and if people do not obey Him there will be consequences!!

“nik” if you believe that god gave us free will, that means you believe in a theistic God. Correct? Therefore, a theistic God is omniscient, omnipotent, and morally perfect. that is the exact definition of a theistic god who gave us “free will”. Thus, you would have to believe God does not make mistakes. You are looking at things thinking the problem of evil is god but if you think about it, how would anyone know what right and wrong were if there were no choices to be made? Predestined, or not. God supposedly made two versions of everything, right? Girl and boy, light and dark, good and evil. He gives us the choice to choose to love him or not. He does this because “true love” can only happen if it were true. If we didnt have free will, we would be like puppets to God and that seems more evil than him giving us free will.

Even though I personally do not think that being gay is the most natural thing some people obviously do and what gives you the right to criticise their personal choices when it is actually not affecting you in the slightest.

Doesn't make sense at all, “he gives free will” but if they don't obey him there will be consequences, free will means there is nothing to obey, or if there is that it's not so free willed on the first place.
The forum is mostly for commentary about the show not for some religious convention, what's next you're going to start converting people? lol.
I'm not gay, nor am I religious, I'm agnostic, I strongly believe in God, and god only, no other man written books that is basically a list of things you should or shouldn't do during your lifetime.

God created all of us and he has a plan for all of our lives but that does not necessarily mean that we will follow Gods plan, he allows us to have free will, so we can either follow Gods path or not.. and if we step out of His will there will be consequences..
if we know about God and still choose to do wrong then we are stepping out of Gods plan

I am not judging anyone cos i am far from perfect I was jus giving my opinion on homosexuality and I believe that God would be proud of me for defending my beliefs, after all he did destroy a town in the bible because it was full of homosexuality so it is not something God treats kindly!

Have a morality debate by all means but stop bringing religion into the argument. One because religion is poor point of reference to back up an argument, you should allow your argument to stand on its on merit. Two because God isn't real, this is the 21st century people.

What has God done for us? I thought he created the world, and the only time I've ever heard about him interfearing with what goes on down here is when Eve ate the apple from the tree of knowledge. When he made the world, he didn't make it so that only men could be attracted to women and vice versa, but he gave us the will to choose for ourselves, right? So, if it's soooo bad, why'd he do that? And who decides weather or not it 'adds up' for two people of the opposite sex to have intercourse? I mean, they've managed to find a way of making it work.
I don't know about god and weather or not he exists or anything. How do any of us? I have nothing against religion, but I don't think half the shit in alot of religion 'adds up'. I mean, I don't think anyone can explain how this all came to be well enough. So God made everything, who made god? Where did he come from? Something must of come from nothing at some point, right?
I think alot of people believe in most of that stuff because, first off that's the way they were raised, and also because they're scared. I mean what's more scary than the prospect of dying? But if you believe you are good and go to heaven, you've got nothing to worry about. I think it's fine to hope or believe there's something after death, but what's with all these rules and stuff. Homosexuality doesn't cause anyone harm, so what's the problem?

The writers want to keep it interesting and get people watching! Which is exactly whats happening. This show has been going on for years with its weird dark twists and turns. This is why its popular. Whats god got to do with a bunch of actors playing a role.
