after watching this episode... i really think they were better off ON the island.. i dont know.. Charlie managed to quit his addiction (altho he died ='[ ) kate nd jake were together and Kate was also released...or am i just confusing myself 2much..

They WERE always on the Island. The Flash-Sideways is the afterlife.
Christian explains in the LOST finale that the time they had all spent on the island was the Best Moments of their lives. He even said that what happened on the Island was real. Watch the last scene in the Finale again. :( I miss this show :.(

The Islands underwater. Kind of hard to live underwater if it has APPARENTLY been sunken in 1977.

but the reason he was on the island was to man the hatch, and hypothetically, the hatch had never been built cause of the bomb

the only reason he was on the island was because they needed someone to push the button and because the hatch had a radiation leak but since it was never built they didnt need him

maybe cuz IF they stopped the plane crash desmonde never WOULD have been on the island? his boat journey wud have gone fine nd he "somehow" was goin 4m sydney 2 LA

We all know that Jacob had a major effect on the lives of thoes who came to the island, jack, boone, Desmond ect.. with the island gone, he has'nt effected theire lives at all, so theire lives is completely different than had the island not been blown away!

Why isn't Shannon on this flight with Boone?

She didn't want to go on the flight, she was fine in Sydney. In her Flash-Sideways she seemed to have over-come horrible bastard boyfriends and was happy.

I think it's something to do with the water, some kinda link with the whole series...... we shall see
