Age of consent ranges between 16 and 18. Some states regard it as a lesser offence if the 'major' is less than a certain number of years older than the 'minor'. In California the age of consent is 18 and two minors can BOTH be prosecuted for underage sex. I don't know about other states but it is all google-able!

I'm curious to know what the average age limit for sex is in America (I know you have different states, with different laws that's why I'm asking for the average)? Because I've never in all my life of watching American TV/movies heard anybody discuss the law when it comes to underage sex and/or teen pregnancy…which I think is a bit odd.
