    I now made up my mind. Damon and Elena is my favorite couple. And don't say he just likes her because she looks like Katherine, even if it does attract him to her at first, just watch the other episodes and that'll explain it to you. Besides, Damon wanted with all his heart that Katherine will love him the way he loved her, and him seeing how much Elena loves Stefan shows him that doppelganger of Katherine could maybe love him back. And the hug at the end of the 14th episode shows that Elena does care for Damon.

    So don't tell me it's not possible for them to be together, because they can be together, it's up to the hands of the screenwriters.

    sorry for all the comments but catherine, i totally agree.. i no longer see Edward, its always stefan. however i do really love Damon. although hes evil, it's obvious that he is totally in love with Elena which proves hes not all bad.
    i'm glad she got to spend a day with damon and see his good side.
    i am soo obsessed with this series.

    i dont think alaric's ring has v in it nor anna's theres ome thing wronge with her and her ring looks like damons and stefans so i bet she is the 3rd party trying to get into the tomb dunno y though

    The books are great.completly different to the series though which is a shame.But i do recommend you read them

    Omg you can so see how much Damon loves Elena in the first bit of the episode when he's making sure she's ok after the crash. I love Damon and I hope that Elena realises his love for her before too late.

    yeah this series is awsome but i hope its not gunna be like twilight ,stefan proposes to elena i hope that dosent happen because then it will be exsactly like twilight and twilight sucks and there wouldent be a chance for damon and elena

    i got really restess on my seat because i thought elena would become a vampire after the accident… it was in the book… then when damon saved her, i was really really surprised… it's just great that they're not really being bookish and predictable!!! love love love this series!!!

    but Katherine can't be her gran, because that wouldn't make sense,

    Elena is a decendant of Katherine. not neccessarily her grandaughter. she could be her great great grandmother. hope it helped :)

    i'm a devoted twilight fan, but i just finished reading the first book of vampire diaries and i think it's absolutely amazing and i love it, however i wouldn't say that is better than twilight, just different style

    omg i am absolutely in love with vampire diaries!!! I have recently started watching it, and am literally watching each episode nonstop. I didn't watch it before because i thought it would be different, but yeahh i feel that it has way more action than the twilight series, and I like how Elena isn't completely obsessed with Stefan like Bella was=)
