    I don't know why Clay was honest and open with Nathan and Haley about his past. I know how difficult that can be, believe me I've gone through something similar to what he did. I almost was in tears when I found out that Sarah happened to be his wife who passed away. I mean he told this to Quinn (sooooooooo glad that they finally hooked up lol), and, lord knows why, but he told Dan. Surely he can tell Nate and Hales?
