A reinvention of the 1983 miniseries of the same name created by Kenneth Johnson, “V” announces the arrival to Earth of an alien species which apparently comes in peace but actually has a sinister agenda. Although the groundwork is similar, the new series promises a lot more than just fond memories from the original concept. Giant spaceships make an appearance over 29 major cities of the world, causing panic. Beautiful and charismatic, Anna, the leader of the extraterrestrial “Visitors,” speaks about worldwide peace and universal healthcare holding everyone spellbound.

While most people have welcomed the arrival of the Vs, a small number of humans begin to doubt their sincerity. Among them ranks FBI Counter Terrorism Agent Erica Evans who discovers that the aliens have spent decades trickling through human governments, businesses and even religious institutions. Now, they’re only a few steps away of taking over the world. As if this weren’t enough, she also finds out what lies beneath the breathtaking human exterior of the Visitors. Unfortunately, in the meantime, hypnotized by Lisa, an attractive young V guide assigned to the New York mother ship, Erica’ son, Tyler, joins the Visitors’ Young

Ambassadors program. His mother stands in with the resistance movement, which includes Ryan a V sleeper agent who plans to defend humanity against the invasion. However, by curing a variety of diseases and recruiting Earth’s youth, the aliens gained ground. What will happen next? Remains to be seen… Enjoy the show!!!

    But what the hell is with these BS 12 episode seasons. The original Battlestar Gallactica was only 1 season long and it was 24 episodes. If the show was good enough then it would keep people interested to keep going. The networks are using a new ploy that involves playing multiple shows in the same day/time slot. They simply play 12 episodes at a time and then throw on the next show and rotate. USA network has mastered it with burn notice, Royal Pains, and Psych. This way they can play more shows in the same slot. It is their way of cashing in on America's ever decreasing attention span. The moment we get bored with something, they put a shinny new coin in our face.

    the reason the 6 month break was taken into fruition is so they could see how the tv ratings stood and wether or not they could carry on a season 2, but if the tv ratings arent good enuff for a season 2 then they wud hav to use the last 12 episodes to end the whole show in 1 season just like flashforward. get it?

    Such a load of crap. Series should not be cancelled because of ratings. Even if there are 100 people out there who like a show, which there always will be, the show should be completed out of courtsy to those who have invested their time.

    Aliens with American accents, who enjoy drinking sodas and wine, who eat steamed vegetables for dinner and find human beings attractive...? I was a huge fan of the old series back in the 80s. The new series seems like a cross between the x-files and the matrix.

    What's the point of having a huge break just after making 12 episodes? People will forget this shit after six months... It was good, but not more than that.

    I won't forget it AT ALL! Yeah six month sound like a lot, but they will fly!!! And if you haven't noticed other shows start with few episodes the first season.

    totally agree. a 6month break is too long. i mean, the show is good but its not THAT good. alot of ppl will forget it after 6months.

    Yeah they're really having a big break aren't they? I mean we gotta wait til November. This is one stupid move. A month of a break is fine but 6 months is ridiculous!!! I think it's a good show but this huge intermission might affect it having a good following!

    Although I never began watching V, I agree that it is so weird that there so many breaks between episodes ! Not fair that this show was renewed for a second season , and not FlashForward, which is an amazing show ! :'(

    According to wikipedia, the first season of V consists of 12 episodes, and Season 2 returns in November with 13 episodes

    NObody can...Thats why many of the miniseries or sitcoms never last to much they make the public wait to fuc$@$#ing much, is very frustrating and disencouraging, they should come up with a way of not making us wait, one season ends and another is starting, that always keep the public interested...other wise is pure $%it!!

I would never hurt another human, u lot find it quite easy to judge and abuse verbally. Religion meant to help, but it got infiltrated and it's now the form of control. So yes I believe in God, no I don't agree with religion. And I'm not trying to prove anything. I am passing the information, and it's only because I've got clear mind and brain (I'm not alone) I can understand it.     Your deluded, Luke P had it about right. Ive read all that same shit you have read and the backbone is just another form of control, except with a different set of leaders. You have probably come across some desteni bs too I suppose. If not then you will probably be in good company when you do come across it, if your a young and impressionable girl they may even let you go and stay with them, you might have to sleep with the leader, but who cares right, when you have rised above other humans with your profound conceptulisations and realisations. The body is just a vessal anyway right used to keep you unaware. Theres a lot of things wrong with this world for sure, but most of these movements and cults are not the answer, you need to be aware that they simply use the bs, to warp you, just like you have been told the goverment do. Go join the venus project, and stop pushing your beliefs on other people. You end up getting kids into fked up situations with the wrong band of people.

V is just a tv show to be enjoyed and loved by its fans. not to be taken literally. it s people like you that start wars in this world because you take things to seriously like religion, its meant to help and be enjoyed (if thats what you believe in) so cut the crap and fuck off.

    This is a stylish series with cool cgi and an interesting plot. However, there are some areas where it should be more believable, e.g.

    1. Humans are curious animals. Normally, all humans and, above all, the scientists, would wonder if the V are really like us and would want to run tests. The series is too focused on politics and ignores the reaction of the human scientific community.

    2. In case of difficult birth, the doctors perform a caesarian section. Showing Val giving birth to an alien baby naturally is silly.

    3. In our medicine, we have found so many methods to control pain. So, one would expect the V to be able to prevent pain completely in all the patients they treat (so Val should not have labour pains! An epidural would do it!)

    4. When we board our airplanes we go through thorough scans for explosives and guns. Many places have security cameras and so on. It's difficult to swallow that on the V ship there are no scanners and no cameras!!

    5. Ryan and other V's supposedly have been living on earth for years. And the shootout in the underground garage is the first time a human witnessed and published the anatomical difference, that they are really reptiles with a layer of cloned human skin around it?
    6. Anna experiences human emotions in the last episode. How does that happen: are V's infected with them like a virus? How come that never happened in the past as they apparently have been studying humans for a long time before that event. I can see how Ryan and Lisa get involved, but not Anna.
    7. Ryan (spoiler!) knocks up his girlfriend. When she finds out what she's in for, she whimpers she wants it (the 'baby') out of her. The V-doctor then replies that it's too late (the pregnancy is already too far ahead). She then agrees to go somewhere unknown with that doctor who gave here a forged ultrasound pic and leave her boyfriend, the only one who may be able to keep her (and the 'baby') safe. If it were me i'd choose taking a knife and cutting it out myself anytime over having a lizard inside of me that moves like it did. What kind of lame answer is that? And isn't it amazing how she still loves him after being kidnapped to an alien ship to give birth to the little monster?

    Still, if Heroes can pull it off with as many script flaws as it does, these aren't unacceptable.

    I'll go with the first 3, but not 4.
    They have Anna and Bliss, no real cultural history of dissidents. Series gives impession 5th column is a new phenomenon, only since coming to earth. no history of terrorism no culture of how to fight it. Quite prepared to suspend disbelief on that one

    anyone know when episode 12 is out on here? massive fan of V. the origianl was class for its time, but this makes that look crap now lol.....i wanna see one of the V's with no skin...all those in favour say ayeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!
