This is surely not the place to discuss this. I am sure there is a 100 places for evolutionists and christians to argue about the existence of god

a divine creator was early man's way to answer the questions he did not know the answer too and to some extent feared
The whole idea of an organised religion was so that those in profound knowledge about said religion could control the general public. This has be superseded by government and law as apposed to "sins" we fear prosecution and punishment through legal means hence we do not commit crimes, before this was the norm people feared their god or gods, and fear his/her wrath and the prospect of not getting into the paradise they offered hence they did not break the laws or rules of that religion.

A lack of evidence is actually the basis of belief, and the problem and beauty of faith to deal with a world loaded with unknowns. The scientific method makes things facts by the continuous disproving of a hypothesis. God however is metaphysical (beyond the material world) and pretty much impossible to disprove since God is believed to be both all things and nothing. The skeptic refutes all things lacking evidence, which is noble and kind of boring, since we should also expect that much of what we know now is limited and probably misguided.
Unicorns are simply a horse like creature with a single horn. If you turned your gaze toward the stars, you will probably be looking at a unicorn somewhere in infinite universe, since it is thought that all possibilities exist, assuming the universe does extend in a material way forever. Of course this just a logical argument with pile of assumptions. But who am I to say that my lack of evidence is bested by your lack of evidence.
And I thought TV sitcoms were supposed to be mind numbing

So just because there is no evidence to disprove something it makes it perfectly rational to believe in it? There is no evidence against the existence of unicorns. So is it rational to believe in them?

Going back to the God argument, just for the amusement, I would like to point out that the ideas of evolution and a beleif in a higher being are perfectly compatible.

For the example of Christianity and the Bible; yes it is true that the Bible does not endorse the evolutionary theory. But you must remember that it was writting by men. It is simply an interpertation. Not an absolute.

Second, for those who argue that there is no evidence to prove the existence of a God; that type of argument is completly illogical and shows a complete lack of intellectual integrity. You must remember that there is no evidence to disprove that existence either.

Great episode by the way, probably one of the only shows that actually makes me lol :P
