absolutely brilliant twist,with a great ending, love greys anatomy too but must agree this was better and well worth the wait . roll on nxt week.

wow! amazing, every single moment of it. one of the best episodes i've seen, and i've seen house through and through. i was sitting at the edge of my seat!! amazing, cried like a baby ;_;

I really loved this episode and the twist was fantasic. But, in the season finale, why would Violet open the door of her house to a crazy baby wanting patient? Maybe I get too logical with television.

this is really an amazingg episoodeeeee!!! i think that you do have a point that the baby will not die and neither will viloet!! i think that the funeral is of Petes wife since when sam told naomi that he cant do it, i think he was talking about if something happended to naomi, the same as Petes wife!!! can't wait for next episodeeeee!!!!

i don't think either of them will die, i think the death in the family is petes wife, that is why they kept going back and forth, if one of them were going to die it would be in this episode because of the title. but that is just my opinion.

@Kate: it's not left open. the funeral is part of the flashback; it's the funeral of pete's wife.

The "death" referred to in the episode's title is obviously a red herring (for Violet); to make sense of it, I suppose since the practice is a family, pete's wife is considered to be part of the family in retrospect.

so..whom's funeral is it? it was left open! i'm afraid that its maybe coopers..? maybe because he blames himself for what happend to violet and will do something stupid? or was it just a strangers one's?

loved every single second of it! i woke up at 6 this morning so i could watch it before going out to work experience at 8.

It seems like Violet is going to die but the baby will survive... what a shame.

i hoped deep down that, that Katie wouldnt take the baby out! that someone would come, and stop the nonsense.

still the actress that plays Violet (sorry i dot remember her name!) well she gave an interview and she said that they were already filming the 3rd episode, so i'm guessing that she wont die because i mean it doesnt take 3 whole episodes to kill a charecter off rite?

omg i think i get it. when they say a death in "THE FAMILY" they mean the practice. cause remember their ad and how they were like we're a family so someone in the practice will die probably not violet or the baby so there is a twist. :s it could my nyomi (cnt spell) .

I think A Death in the Family refers to Naomi leaving the practice ..

i think the funeral is of his lasts wife when she died he's replay-in how he met violet

It was petes wifes funeral from about 9 years ago.
