    In the book Bill is really just sent by the queen to use Sookie for her abilitys. Eric is one of the only vampire that didnt know this. He actually loves her.
    So yeah, so far its been a LOT different. Plus the manead (Maryann) wasn't as big of a focus as she is here.
    Your right in the show it seems harder to belive Sookie would leave him. In the book, there are 1,00,000 reason :P

    She's 1/8 fairy. But that isn't the reason why she can read minds. The bellboy also can and he isn't remotely fairy. Its just a random unexplained occurance.
    In the books Eric finds her great grandfather, Neil, who is a fairy prince.

    True Blood is nothing like other programmes / films about Vampires. In other vampire films/ programmes, they are hidden, only a few humans knows they exist. Where as, in True Blood Vampires are exposed to the world, its a very new and interesting plot. I also like how they are beginning a love triangle between Eric and Bill. I really want Eric and Sookie to hook up, however i dont want his mysterious and bad boy act to stop. I want Eric to keep using his tricks to try and win sookie, and eventually win her.

    Dont get me wrong, i like how Bill always protected her, even in sunlight, However, Eric is soo much more exciting.

    how little some people know about what is going to happen, providing the series sticks to the books…. which it is doing pretty well so far (well kinda. the story line is along the same lines just maybe a bit premature with maynad thing). But seriously for those of you who havn't read the books are going to be in for a big shock… and thats all im saying :)

    I dont think i would like Sookie anymore if she got with Eric though, she would loose her innocence and loyalty, and Bill and Sookie = good team :) . Also, Eric is clearly trying to be sneaky and trick her into being with him, which is desperate and not like the cool, not care about anything Eric is meant to be :/ ..
