How to bypass Megavideo 72 minutes limitation

September 13th, 2009

I’ve got a lot of emails from you asking for a bypass of the Megavideo 72 minutes limitation.

72 minutes bypass

Follow 4 simple steps to get over it and watch how many episodes you wish:

Step 1: Click PLAY button of megavideo episode, click PAUSE and wait for the video to buffer to 100%.
Step 2: After the video is done buffering, go to your menu bar on your browser, and click on File > Work Offline.
Step 3: Enjoy the episode.
Step 4: Unclick the “Work Offline” button and do the same with other episodes.

Bypass 72 Minutes Limitation

Howtos

bypass megavideo 72 minutes limitation, how to

  • If none of the Above work there is a Software that is good enough to hide your IP address so know one can tell who you are making it almost imposible for them to ban you. "Hide My IP 5.0" you can buy it or you can do it the hard way and find a Free Version.
  • Video bandwidth limit exceeded

Your IP address XX.XX.XXX.XXX has temporarily reached its video transfer limit. You can continue watching in a short while.(from MegaVideo site)

Alrighty this brings back an old memory of a Chat Site that i was Blocked from now Mega video has learned that we are getting smart so what they do is block our IP Address for 72 minutes there for we can not do anything not even use Illimitux anymore.

So now that i know the problem it is easyer to help you get unblocked Please if it works Spread the word im not the kind of guy to repeat myself more then 2 times.here is the plan

If you are a Verizon user this may not work for you...

For all Net users there are 3 ways i think that will work for you.

    1. turn off your Router and turn it back on for most Net users this will be giving you a new IP address there for unban yourself.

    2. Change your IP Address... dont know how? check youtube.

    3. if you have Vista go to this link and watch the video by the way its not my video. i highly want a f-in ty for this s--t. this took me good time from My TV shows to look for this.

Now this brings an idea to mind. why not change step 2 and step 4 just alittle bit like so.

Step 4: Reconnect to your Internet. and do the same with other episodes.

now if this idea does not work im sure you can use your own brains to figure out how to keep from complaining to the people trying to help. if someone tries to help you do not Curse at them and call them liars.
  • Illimitux sorry people but if you thing Illimitux is the Answer your are not to smart. i used Illimitux before maybe for about 2 months or so. but no matter how many times you keep redownloading it the problem Remains there is a timer. When the Mega video goes dead your Illimitux will go dead in about 10 minutes after. its stupid.
  • Razorphoenix
Yes we get it, this way does not work. Mega-video managed to stop it from working in February, but there are other ways. I usually just use download helper, its a free program that allows you to download pretty much any video from most sites (Cucirca is one of them) as FLv's. All you need is an Flv converter or player and download helper. Very easy. Very simple.
  • John Locke
The best way to get around this problem is to use a firefox add on called Illimitux which removes it and others
  • evilyn lordi
The best is to go on the website where you can use zshare. zshare doesn't limit anything for anyone
  • Crystal
I've done this - multiple times and still get the 72 minute limitation...??
  • George
You could maybe try to watch on a other pc in your house. So when u watched the 72 min, U go to an other pc ;-)
  • dani
this doesnt work. ive tried it plenty of times. when you buffer the 72minutes is all it buffer for you. it doesnt help you bypass. it pretty much just makes you wait to watch the video buffer then plays until 72minutes even if you turn off the internet. it pretty much will only let you buffer 72minutes and the rest it pretends to have buffered.
  • varumba
doesn't work..... i think it even confuses the site further more, as I get that message after 30 min sometimes!
  • papy
    it doesn't work!!!!!
  • JCBoekel
    THANX!
i hate the 72 min limitation
  • carrie17
Im sorry if this sounds stupid, but what does it mean to unplug your modem and how do i do it?
  • Alisah
The modem is the black ADSL box where you get your Internet connection. In the back of this modem is a button on the far left side. If you press the button off then on , wait for all the lights to blink, and refresh the page, the time limit resets and you can watch more.
  • David
Turning your modem on and off only works if your ISP has provided you with a dynamic IP address, meaning your IP changes if you turn modem off and on.
you can also wait for video to buffer then work offline, but an even better way is to get the original link to the video and just put +++ at the end of the URL. :)
this doesnt work on SOME videos though
  • Whysper
Yes, you are right, if you have a static IP address it will not work. But thankfully I do not have that problem, so really interuptions for me are only a minute or two. It was just a suggestion for those that do have a dynamic IP address. As the working offline suggestion does not work for me. And for those that do not think this works, then I am sorry, happy waiting is all I can say.
  • MSOZAN
another way to bypass is once it says you have watched 72 minutes turn off your modem then turn it back on in a minute then refresh the page and it should all be good, thats what ive been doing and its alright
  • jones__
so i would just turn off my modem at the switch?
  • or you could unplug the wire thats what i do.
  • Lea
Thank you! Wish I'd watched this BEFORE though.
My video is currently on like...52 mins waiting? >___>
  • Whysper
You could also unplug your modem, wait a couple of minutes before plugging it back in. That changes your IP address, therefore also renewing the time through Maga Video. ^_^
  • mrunner4home
it...doesn't work. to the best it could be. however, it does cut the time down a bit. like the message came up even though i was offline, so i reconnected, and i only had like 30 minutes left to wait, even though it said 54 like a minute before. i went offline again and i had 20 min. left. and then no matter how many times i reconnected i had to wait out the 20 minutes. eh. better than 54 i guess
  • Nick
Thanks a lot Bob Johnson, your method works

just to be safe tho it's a good idea to have a look at it's javascript code to see if there is any harmful code there
  • that doesnt work very well...

vidscan.tk provides a better method to bypassing the megavideo timelimit.

    simply go to: http://vidscan.tk/howtostream.php
    add the "MegaVideo Stream/Download" bookmark
go to the megavideo clip u want to see, and then click the bookmark you just made :D

So far it's worked 100% of the time for me :D
  • meg
this doesn't work cause the time it takes to buffer counts as part of the 72 minutes so when its done it doesn't matter if you're offline or not cause you already wasted time just waiting for it to load. im pretty sure turning your router off and back on works cause it should renew your IP address then. but maybe not idk
  • tunza gunz
    cheers mate, worked for me!!
  • steph
same here, i did followed the instruction excatly and it still came up with the notice even tho i was offline....... its so annoying!!!!!!!!!!
  • Gucks
theres a better way then that, when it reaches the limit just turn ur router on and off again, wait for ur internet to re-connect and refresh the page. Or u can do it inbetween episodes
  • Etna
the overriding of 72 min. limit doesn't work. I have followed exactly the instructions written on this page but the video stopped working anyway.
  • Ben
it doesnt work. I tried deleting the cookies and disconnecting my Internet. Not working!
  • greendestiny
Get FlashGot Firefox add-on from mozilla add-ons site (google for 'mozilla addon').
With it you can download any video you're watching.
You'll also need a .flv player.
The best one out there is definitely GOM (google for 'GOM player').
I hope I helped you enjoy your shows :D
My nick on Youtube is almsfsdjgx, so add me to friends, if you liked this.
  • retardno002
I have a variable IP. That means my internet provider is offering me an infinite choice of IPs everytime I restart my internet connection. And I don't even have to chose, I'm just assigend a new IP everytime I disconnect. How convenient is that?
  • dsegs
It's simple. Load up 3 videos at once. Start them all, pause 2 of them and watch one. When that one gets to the limit start watching the next one. When the second one stops go to the third. When that one stops the wait time should be over and you can watch the rest of the first one again...
  • zenanna
Haaahaaahaaa how desperate are we to watch the desperate housewives????
  • soInLost
that wouldn't work. mega wont let any other vid to work til time pass
  • Mircea
it won't work. changing the browser or deleting cookies won't work either. they keep track of your ip on their servers, so you'll have to change your ip to watch further.
  • doesn't work either it's missing detail such as blocking cookies or is just plain wrong!
  • heroesfan
doesnt work! ive tried it so many times and this doesnt work! Today mega video stopped after 34min and said i had to wait, it wont let me watch 72mins anymore!
  • Becky
Ive Tried That, And The 72 Minute Thing Came Back, I Did Everything It Says There.
