Step 4: Unclick the “Work Offline” button and do the same with other episodes.

bypass megavideo 72 minutes limitation, how to

If you have firefox Type into google Illimitux. Once you reachthe limit, click the small window that appears and watch another 72 minutes of heroes. Once you re-reach the limit there, switch back to ordinary megavideo and repeat.

  • weeman

All you need to do is go to your router and hit the reset button. This changes your ip adress slightly and you are able to watch another 72 mins. honestly guys just try it once..

  • SJ

I just pay for megavid – just makes life easy :-)

  • nat

didnt work for me. im not paying as these are in u.s. dollars and im in australia. way to expensive

  • Jason

An important step is missing. Once you click 'work offline' you have to delete cookies before playing. You can do this by clicking 'tools' then 'internet options' if using internet explorer

  • mutchie6g

when is episode 9 on ?

  • mutchie6g

when is episode 9 on ?

  • peapodmaster

didnt work. i would pay for mega video but whenever i browse their site they never have the video's you have to find them through other sites!

  • hailstorm

    DEINE MUTTER HAT GROSS BRUSTWARZE!

  • xtreemeflame

there is a method i use. As soon as the 72 min limit pops up, I refresh the vid. Usually it cuts the time by 20 min – 40 min and on the odd occasion, you reset the timer. I also considered having an IP (Internet Protocol, a form of identification #) blocker, problem is, is that it will say “the video could not load. The I said to myself, Why block ur IP when you can change it every time you open a new browser? There are some free programs, however the best you must still pay for. There is a risk to IP changers too. Your ISP (internet service provider) may ban your real IP and disconnect you from the net. I don't know if it is illegal though. I wish the internet was free. Videos too….. ;) Hope I handed out some ideas!

I have the same problem!! Any ideas about what to do if you´re using google chrome?

  • BlindBraille

No you don't !! All computers in your house if you use a wireless router are on the same IP address.
Your IP address is specific to your ISP not what computer you're using

  • BlindBraille

I'm not going to use a pirate program to watch some 40 min episode of a tv show, even with multiple virus protection programs it is so not worth downloading the crap that people put out just to mess up your computer. There is no such thing as a safe torrent site and there never will be. If it's free it has malware.

  • kryptos

The dollars are nearly the same now. Clearly you're just a kid with no money.

  • kryptos

Actually kid that only works for dynamic IP addresses. You can gain a new IP address on any network if you clone you MAC address to your router by using any other computer's details. That way you have as many IP addresses as you do computers.

  • kryptos

Proxy servers do not parse Flash elements through their server, meaning you are directly connected to Megavideo still. As I said before the only sure-fire way is to clone your MAC address onto your router or go through a VPN or possibly a set of onion routers (proxies).

As for ISPs banning “your real IP and disconnect you from the net” that is total bull. They will only grow suspicious if you constantly have a changing IP address, but if you're swapping between a few that are proven to have the same geolocation then they won't care. So grow some knowledge before posting.

  • kryptos

Actually your IP address is specific to the MAC address of the device connecting to the modem. If you plug your modem into your computer it will differ from another (probably requiring a modem reset). Most router pages let you clone a MAC address of a computer because certain ISPs require you to use the same IP address and hence same device for a prolonged period of time. My advice is to stop using Megavideo whenever possible because it's charging you for acting as a Youtube service with no original content.

  • kryptos

Megavideo doesn't store cookies on your computer. It keeps track of your usage with a live link the moment you start streaming a video. That's why now this doesn't work. Even if you clear your Flash applet data Megavideo still knows your IP should be capped.

  • Taylor

you need to calm down; stop getting so angry at everyone. just cause you know sooo much about computers doesnt mean you get to shut everyone down..thats just rude. if your so smart why are you sitting at home watching movies online?

  • kryptos

Aww that's so cute. Little boy thinks I do what he does.

Also, if kids are going to post here claiming they know something and try to pass it off as fact that gives me every right to retort. All they want to do is look clever but these people are being misinformed.

Talking crap you don't know about doesn't actually work in the big world, kids.

  • steve

the whole point of streaming rather then downloading is to avoid long waiting times. It is much better to watch immediately then when the 72 minute comes up unplug your modem and wait 5 minutes put it back and your IP address should change and just like magic your limit disappears.

  • xtreemeflame

i appreciate what taylor's doin' but uh kryptos, my information comes from an IP changer program. Unlike you, I don;t use a MAC so the information you posted regarding the 72 min lim bypass doesn't apply.

The IP changer specified, that by changing your IP, you risk getting into trouble, however at the moment there really seems like there is no other way besides what is posted here. If you live in the US, than you argument regarding changing IP is valid, however, if you live in Canada, you argument is invalid.

As it seems, you don't like to be wrong, and are pretty much telling everyone, “don't listen to this guy, because this 'blog' is for smart people, not for those with an opinion.” I'm certain that I'm not misleading anyone, as for you, you don't make instructions very easy to be understood by people who ONLY use their computers for e-mail, and the occational movie. What I posted on this page was an idea, if you want to add onto it fine, but do not discredit it.

If its wrong, politely point out the errors. And, i am also pretty sure that you can't grow knowledge, but attain it.

It is also funny, actually hilarious how you consider everyone here a “kid”, Im an adult, and I, like everyone else dont enjoy non-constructive criticism (yes, i looked at all the comments you posted to others)

  • xtreemeflame

I'll try that, but I think it will only work if you have a dynamic IP. Since mine is static, i think i have to change mine manually, rather than the modem doing it automatically. Interesting point though.

  • chkafdkj

how would you know, you havent reached the big world yet, ya dope

  • chkafdkj

did you mean on the same public ip address?all computers cant be on the same ip address, all computers on the same network have the same public ip address but every computer has a unique ip address.

  • Elrouce

Another way is to open several tabs at once, and for some reason it counts them all in the same 72 min time slot.

  • ab423542

    shut up dude

  • kryptos suck

hey Kryptos, please don't talk about “big world” because i dont think you'll ever be there. 2 mins ago i did not know who you are but now i know you well… you are a bitch!

  • kryptos

It's not really an interesting point. Just another kid thinking they have the slightest idea about how networking works.

I mean, he used the word magic for crying out loud. Well, I already gave the correct solutions to changing your IP address to beat the server-sided limit, it's your choice to stay ignorant in magical fantasy land of the 12 year olds.

  • mrunner4home

yeah, dude, stop putting everyone down. just 'cause you think you're all that doesn't mean you have to insult everyone else. some of these ideas you're putting down actually work. just 'cause you think you know everything doesn't mean you can put everyone down.

that doesn't work out there in the real world, kid.

and by the way, xtreemeflame, you're method of refreshing the video to reduce the time left (first post) works. it's a lot better to only have to wait 20 minutes or 5 or even none at all than having to wait 72 minutes or more =)

  • johnny

it didn't work for me =[
