Created by Matt Nix, “Burn Notice” is a perfect combination between action, comedy and drama. After being close by revealing his true identity and getting the chop during a secret operation in Nigeria, agent Michael Westen receives the burn notice from the United States Government. Considered to have become unreliable and “wiped off the grid”, he finds himself in his hometown of Miami, Florida, without money and identity. Abandoned by all his normal intelligence contacts and being under the ban of leaving the city, Michael must strike out a new plan to find out why he has been burned and by whom. In order to fund his personal investigation, he presents his service as private investigator or freelance spy to anyone in town who can pay him any money.

Throughout the series, our blacklisted agent faces both arms dealers, contract killers, war criminals, kidnappers, drug traffickers, sex traffickers, mobsters and professional thieves.

Apart from being extremely clever, Michael Westen is also highly skilled. When it comes to a mission, nothing stands in his way. Using in highly unorthodox ways ordinary items ranging from cell phones, radios, cake frosting or duct tape, this blacklisted spy brings it off any job. A cynic hardened by experience, Michael hides a soft and sometimes vulnerable, side… not to mention that his favorite food is yogurt. A beautiful ex-IRA operative who happens to be Westen’s ex-girlfriend, Fiona Glenanne re-enters Michael’s life when he falls on evil days and decides to stay and provide support to him on his investigations. And because “a friend in need is a friend indeed”…

Sam Axe, Michael’s closest buddy… an aging semi-retired intelligence operative and former Navy SEAL, joins the team. Among his many skills rank burglary, forgery, interrogation, martial arts and wiretapping… Sam is “the guy who knows a guy” and who can find the quickest route to a cold Mojito.

    The new episode 6 airs July 15. There was no new episode this week

    regarding mega video: all i do to get round it is take a note of where you got up to in minutes, close browser then go to network connections and disable the connection, then go switch off modem then turn back on, then go back to network connections and re-enable the connection wait for a min then reopen page and continue where you left off. easy takes like 2 mins, make a drink while you wait or walk around get some air in your lungs its better then waiting near an hour so next time relax theres ways around the annoyance

    If you have firefox it's under "File" and you can click "work Offline". Internet Explorer has it under tools or some location that's easy to find. I've tried this method and it rarely worked for me. Maybe because I don't close the browser?

    This show is interesting to watch the tricks he does but the idea of a burn notice makes no sense ,being stuck off the spy register,a spy supposed to be unknown and does what he wants,he is not a dentist who works by standards,if he has broken the law then the legal system deals with him like everyone else.

    Michael was burned but it seems he is somewhat protected. If you go back to previous seasons you might get the premise a little bit more. When the people who burned him threatened to stop protecting him, he became a wanted man and was arrested soon as a cop saw him. The people who burned him started protecting him again so his name isn't in the criminal system. Plus, the F.B.I. is on his side. And he doesn't commit crimes that only circle back to him. His crimes usually relate to a criminal that the government cares more about than some burnt spy.

    Plus, Michael's good at not getting caught in the act and handing over a suspect so the police don't have to do much investigating.

    It does make sense, if im doing spy work for you for 10 years word gets around in the bussiness... If your the government you can use government resources to keep you on ice. including plice courts air travel ect.

    I imagine that spy's operate with a certain amount of immunity from the law in the country which they operate for, because of their value to said country. Think James Bond and his 'License to kill'. I say, a ceratin amount of immunity, because I am certain that there are crimes they could commit that would force their government to give them up to the punishment of the long arm of the law.

    However, the premise of this show is that all records of Michael Weston have been struck from the record by those that had him blacklisted. If he was caught in the act of a crime, caught red handed so to speak, then yes he would be arrested and brought to trial should sufficient evidence exist to do so, and supposing that he isn't freed from the consequences by those in high places. However, throughout the series he can act with the knowledge that none of his records (name, DNA, fingerprints, dental records, employment records etc.) exist for the police to use. He cannot be caught so long as he uses his skills to keep himself from being caught at the scene of a crime, commiting any crime, thus becoming known to the police.
