Created by Craig Thomas and Carter Bays, the comedy series “How I Met Your Mother” is “a love story in reverse“. In 2030, Ted Mosby tells his daughter and son the story of how he met their mother. This sob story begins in 2005 when Ted, a single 27 year old architect, finds out that Marshall Eriksen, his best friend, is proposing to Lily Aldrin, a kindergarten teacher. Ted realizes that is also the time for him to make the big step, but this involves first finding the great love. The one who helps him with the search is his friend Barney Stinson, a womanizer with an unnamed corporate job. He introduces Ted to Robin Scherbatsky, an ambitious young reporter. Although Ted is convinced that it’s love at first sight, Robin isn’t ready to have a relationship. Destiny has something else in store for them.

As the series progresses, Ted meets Victoria at a wedding and they begin dating. Seeing him with another woman, Robin realizes she does have feelings for Ted. Things are going great between Ted and Victoria, but when she gets her dream job, the couple has to make some difficult choices. Meanwhile, Lily decides to pursue an art fellowship in San Francisco and breaks up with Marshall. In the first part of the second season, Robin and Ted are finally a couple and a heartbroken Marshall tries to cope without the love of his life. After a while, Lily returns to New York, reunites with Marshall and the season culminates in their marriage.

Over the course of the third season, dynamics and friendships within the group change. Ted and Robin adjust to life as friends after their breakup while Marshall discovers something about Lily which threatens both their happiness and their financial security. Decided to remove an embarrassing tattoo, Ted sees Stella, a charming dermatologist. He pays his addresses to her. By the end of the season Ted proposes to Stella. Is she the mother? Perhaps. Meanwhile, Barney and Robin come to a one night stand.

In season four, Stella and Ted’s plans go all to pieces when their exes are both invited at the wedding. She leaves him at the altar and gets back together with the father of her daughter, Tony. Barney believes he’s in love with Robin and helps her search for a new job. Lily and Marshall argue whether or not they’re ready to have children. Eventually, Ted finds out that Lily sabotaged all of his relationships with anyone she didn’t approve of. In the season finale, he decides to teach architecture classes.

    i cant see Robins leave to be long because she part of that “Awesome group” and with out her it doesnt look right. So hopefully she comes back (Soon too) but apart from that i LOVED the new episode but Robin needs to return.

    Does anyone remember the episode where ted breaks up with a girl and as hes walking out of her apartment he said that the girls roomate (he caught a glimpse of her as she come from the bathroom i think?) was maybe his wife. Am i wrong? Also i swear she was blonde but evryone seems to think the wife is brunette.

    Yet another great episode! but if the next episode is called 'Dopplegangers' does that mean we get to see Barneys one and that Lily & Marshall will start trying for children :D also it was good to see Robin return at the end !

    My Favourite part about the new episode (robots vs wrestlers) is when Barney tells Ted hes no longer part of the gang goes into the elevator the comes back and says “So embarrasing i forgot something…” then smashed the Gong as hard as possible lol made me laugh :D
