Angels and demons still have some type of freedom and if they have freedom then they can never be completely good or bad, they will act human and I love them for it.

As for Cierstrife, they didn't say God wasn't omnipotent they said they weren't. They also never said these were the words of God, only that that was what they were to do. And thats supposed to be God's greatest gift anyways right… the choice to make the wrong decisions, to live a life w/ him or with out his light. And the good books do describe angels as many things, horrible and grand… some smelt, some rained fire and brimstone. Others rejected God's love for man and chose not to serve but to be their own master… in fact it was the greatest of those that we know so well… and who was noted as the most magnificent of all god's angels.

The show is doing a decent job of portraying some of the natural feelings we humans would feel if we served endlessly and watched others who turn their back on the creator get all the praise and freedom. And as for too human… the first appearance of angelic presence was too powerful to comprehend and Dean was nearly drivin deaf by the mere voice of him… the psych and the demons all went blind… These are supposed to be a more “mild” appearance, something we humans can comprehend.

Loving all the historical ref s, religious, lore, all of it can't wait for the next
