As for Cierstrife, they didn't say God wasn't omnipotent they said they weren't. They also never said these were the words of God, only that that was what they were to do. And thats supposed to be God's greatest gift anyways right... the choice to make the wrong decisions, to live a life w/ him or with out his light. And the good books do describe angels as many things, horrible and grand... some smelt, some rained fire and brimstone. Others rejected God's love for man and chose not to serve but to be their own master... in fact it was the greatest of those that we know so well... and who was noted as the most magnificent of all god's angels.

The show is doing a decent job of portraying some of the natural feelings we humans would feel if we served endlessly and watched others who turn their back on the creator get all the praise and freedom. And as for too human... the first appearance of angelic presence was too powerful to comprehend and Dean was nearly drivin deaf by the mere voice of him... the psych and the demons all went blind... These are supposed to be a more "mild" appearance, something we humans can comprehend.

the angels used the word omniscient, not omnipotent. different word. omniscient means all seeing or all knowing, whereas omnipotent means all powerful, or God.

Dx I'd love love love this if they didn't have the angels acting so un-angel like. I'm not talking about the mean thing, but really, insults? degrading names? They have to be a bit more saint like at least, otherwise they couldn't be living in heaven. The series also needs to tread more carefully with explaining why dean needs to stop something, because their explanations are bordering on saying god isn't omnipotent. They need to better explain why it's up to Dean.
I like that it was up to dean to make the call, but not that he did it against god's orders, or at least that he thought he was. That'll just spell out trouble. If they want to bring biblical things into their plot they have to respect biblical consequences for things like not obeying orders from god. Though, I'd love to see an episode where dean gets swallowed by a big fish.

Bottom line, they're making their angels and demons too human. They're not greek gods, they're black and white. somethings in life just are.

I like the fact that the angels and demons act human, I think it stops everything straying too far into a stereotypical plot of good v evil. A lot of other programs/films do this and I Love them (Constantine, Being Human).

Angels and demons still have some type of freedom and if they have freedom then they can never be completely good or bad, they will act human and I love them for it.

I don't get it why everyone is making such a fuzz about Sam's abilities. If he is just using it in rare occasions I mean.

think of sam's powers like a drug. the more he uses them, the more he WANTS to use them and the more he will, thus making him more powerful. power corrupts
