that's the one thing I'm worried that this show's going to mess up, and since they've made it seem like there's some dissension amongst the angel's ranks I'm not too worried yet. but the “higher purpose” that's actually God's orders shouldn't be something like “oh yeah. Let's let Lucifer free to kill everyone. He can make my apocalypse”

on a side not, if they touch the apocalypse with angels and God involved, don't they have to touch the second coming too? :

at least Ruby turned out to be bad in the end. it always annoyed me how they were trying to make a creature that was blatantly the personification of evil into a good character. redeemed some of the obvious contradictions of cannon facts about demons that this series has made.
