Ok so Im still under the suspicion that Sammy's little GF is playing him hard core, and that the dark side is sending more and more demons for the simply purpose of forcing sam to use his dark powers and build his powers and “gifts” up. Its a slippery slope alright but not just for sam as she has what at first look may seem like shades of good in her actions but as the show keeps sayin… its the bigger picture with heaven and hell. She may want Lilith dead alright, but prob just for herself to move up the food chain, and move Sam up his ladder towards evil.
As for why he would go after Lilith while he couldn't even handle Alaistair I get the impression that he isn't concerned with the earthly business as much.. from his comments of hating the place and missing the smell of hell. He seems to be a bigger and stronger demon, equal to that of the big angels. I get the impression that Lilith is a mid level, and Im sure the plot will have the eye colors playing in to their levels at some point. But I see Lilith as being a bit of a soldier, not a general type.. shes doing all the dirty work and taking all the risks out there. Satin is Commander n Chief (ironic i know), Alistar is more the 2-3 star general, Lilith is a Sargent, and sammys new squeeze is more like a spy or maybe double agent if you will.. still pulling strings for her side, just making things look good from your perspective.
