Actually I was a bit wrong in my last comment. Vol4 Fugitives, is the second half of season 3 and that will return in February. :'(

peter is a mimic.. that power was stolen from him by his father. all the powers he's learned since was not stolen, they are just unlearned (since he can't access them anymore)
same as peter can't mimic sylar's STOLEN powers! only his true power can be mimiced (as he did in the future).

as for this rule that dad can't steal the same power twice... why not, of course he can steal the same power more than once, doesn't do HIM any good, but the other one still looses their powers.

Sylar and Peter and their father have very similar powers. the only difference is good old dad can take powers away as well as copy them.... maybe he's the hatian's father too?!!

Can't wait until Dec 2 for the next episode. Just watched the previews on top of this page and it looks like it is going to be as amazing as ever :-)

well, the sun eclipse, takes and gives power, i think it resets people power too. those whom has the genes, should get their power back, too, however, those who did not have powers in the first place and have the gene will also have new powers.

thats my theory, we should really read the comic to find out whats is going to happen...

my explanation to all loop holes

there must be special eclipses,some that take powers,some that give and some that do nothing, some may grant or take away powers DURING the eclipse,after it has passed they might get them back.

there were a load of 9th wonders comics given to the producer of 9th wonders,they were slowly released after time had passed (for example, the comic where hero discovers his powers is when the explosion happens (or doesn't in our case),)

Sylar has an effect on people he trys to take powers from,for some odd reason if it fails or they survive like claire and elle they have something about there powers changed,for example elle's electricity was to much for her, and claire couldn't feel anything, as for peters dad, I reckon he'll overload his powers like sylar did in season 1 ;)

this episode was amazing can't wait till the next episode!!! really excited might watch the next episode on the t.v aswell.

In season 1 when Hiro mets mendez he was still working on the last issue that wasn't in the shops yet... so there weren't any new issues after he died.
it could be that mendez wrote his series backwards, stating in the far future (so there will always be 9th wonder comics in Heros) and working his way back...and they are all mini-series (aka season same as 1 heroes season).
that's a bit far fetched if you consider everyone got their powers at the same time, during the elipse and he wouldn't have had enough time to write down years of comic stories, but 3 seasons maybe.

other option... his comicbook was read by someone else with powers of preminition, when the books stoped the new precog took over (there were no mention of 9th wonders in season 2) plus the art is different!

I like that theory about special eclipes.
maybe depending on which side of the sun the earth is (orbital location) when the eclipes takes place makes the difference if their powers awaken, go dormant, increase, decrease, or do nothing?

who knows...

but what about this... will Dr. Suresh go back to his mutated form when they get their powers back, slowly transform into the mutant again, be healed of the mutation and maintain the powers or just stay normal?!
*(oh and sucks to be the dead guy they tested the sirum on... he'd be healed now if suresh didn't kill him)

I doubt peter's dad will overload his powers like sylar did as he probably knows and understands his own power

partial eclipses happen more than once a year, but a total eclipse happens once in 360 yrs. So Adam might have got his powers from the 1st total eclipse of his life and he died before the second one. I think adam would have died anyway even his powers were not taken by arthur as we know everyone lost their powers this eclipse.

This is weird.The Hatians brother will be gutted when somebody tries killing him next.I think they will get powers back with the formula and Claire's blood and everyone will get powers.It will be like the reality the future Peter lived in the one he tried to stop.I want the power Parkman has so I can make elle and claire have a threesome with me YEAH.

In one of the earlier episodes, claude(one who can disappear)was shot by HRG because he was hiding someone special. Does any one know who he was hiding.

He wasn't badly burnt he was mutating then Suresh killed him to but him out of his misery and it was some random person who didn't have powers that he was testing on.

You sure he was dead ...I could have sworn he was alive when Suresh brought him in. I read in a Heroes spoiler that he was the man that was beating up on his wife in Suresh's building after Suresh injected into himself Maya's serum

for the first comment peter can mimic stolen powers because teleconesis(wrong spelling) is not sylars orginal.
and i think someone else is doing the 9th wonders you still see paintings of the earth exploding and i don't think its the african guy thats was doing it.

If peter really lost his powers how come he has them in the future. and he hasnt lost them he just doesnt know how to use them.and like aaron said

sylar stole that ability, but peter has had it from day 1 after sylar

i don't know how aurther shot lightning after stealing peters powers. peter accesses his powers by remembering the first time he saw the power and was able to mimic it, everything down to the smell, feeling, emotion...
how his dad was able to mimic his mimiced powers beats me.

tja, apparently peter also mimiced sylars ability for telekenetics (stolen from his first victim).
that I can kinda believe though... peter mimicing sylars ability, but I don't think it would work visa versa, open peter's brain and you'll only see mimicing powers.

as for the future... it makes perfect sense... they somehow get their powers back (either with another eclipse or the sirum) but all the learned abilities Peter, Sylar and Aurther have gained are lost and must be learned or stolen again.

peters father can.t use the mimic power because that power focuses on using empathy which arthur doesn't have because hes evil (i couln't think of a better word to use than evil lol) and when peter had his powers he could mimic sylar's taken powers as he was able to use the telekenetic power

and i think that hiro is goina get his memory back when all of them get their powers back and use claires blood to heal his mind (abit like peter did in series 2 exept using someone elses healing power)

i think this eclipse will temporarily take them away. but i think that people who had abilities wont get them back - theyll use the formula - but others (maybe people who had encountered abilities but never had them) such as ando will get powers. that way it will be a divide as future peter says but it will be unexpected. maybe? and maybe people like nathan, surresh and tracy who were given formula will get abilities back which means they will be on the opposite side to natural ones.

You're right, Peters father took ALL of his powers, his father has removed his ability to absorb anymore powers, but thanks to season 2, we already know, that with Claires blood there is a serum they can use that can restore that ability. However, with this eclipse, it's entirely possible that their powers are gone for good, hence the need for the formula, I think the one consistent thing here, is Claire...they will still need her blood as the Catalyst to getting their powers back...now it's on...

I guess Peter will stay this way til the rest of the season
