Writers’ Strike Stops
February 9th, 2008
Last week, the leaders of the Writers Guild of America have reached to an agreement with the major media companies to put an end to writers’ strike.

So far, it is unlikely that the WGA members will reject the agreement at the meeting today, although a WGA representative declared that the strike is not over yet. In the best case scenario, writers will go back to work next week. Hopefully, they will bring us those lost episodes this summer.
The office, Grey’s Anatomy and most of the shows will probably get back on air pretty soon. But more complicated production shows will not be completed this season.
Tim Kring, the creator of Heroes, declared he cannot finish more than three episodes from Volume 3, which would not be satisfactory, regarding that no new episodes will air until fall.
Another sad part of the story is that some of the writers might not get back to their fat contracts they had made as individuals with the studios.
If they lose more money that they gain by this new agreement, than what was the point in going on strike at all?
