This is a neat tutorial on how to change your TV channels without a remote.
All you need is a mini flashlight, a floppy disk and a magnifying glass.
Of course, if you are reading my blog, you’re not watching TV anymore
and you don’t need to watch the following clip:

Incandescent bulbs emit light at a set wavelength. You can’t change the wavelength by adding filters. If the flashlight emitted the right wavelength of IR, it would not require a filter.
Different functions of the TV are governed by varying the frequency of IR light pulses, not changing the “frequency of the light”. These pulses are milliseconds longs; it’s impossible to duplicate these precise combinations of pulses for different functions manually with a flashlight.
Moving the a lens wouldn’t affect the wavelength of light. When you look through a magnifying glass, do things change color??
You fail.
Protip: Learn about your hoaxes subject before you make an idiot of yourself.

[…] kan forresten ganske uenkelt skifte tv-kanal uten fjernkontroll, om det skulle være av interesse. Du kan jo gjøre det som Storrusten […]

Did anyone else try it and did it work? Let us know.

this is clearly a hoax
as u can see there is another person in the reflection on the tv standing in the background..
now i would bet all my money on that he has a remote control changing the volume in the background!
see for urself

I couldn’t understand some parts of this article , but I guess I just need to check some more resources regarding this, because it sounds interesting.

September 17th, 2007 at 9:19 pm

October 11th, 2007 at 8:19 pm
is it real or not?

ZuZ is right, check out the video at 83 seconds, the screen goes dark and you see two people in the reflection, the guy at the back could easily have a remote

“Of course, if you are reading my blog, you’re not watching TV anymore and you don’t need to watch the following clip…”
Actually, I have House on, on the big-screen here, while my laptop is on… my lap.
Thanks for the information you provide at this weblog (which I just found).
