Gmail for Everybody

Google on Wednesday said its Gmail service is now open to anyone who wants an account. Previously the service, which provides users with 2.8GB of e-mail storage space, has been by invitation only.

gmail signup

is now a public beta. Go to Gmail.com, and look for “Sign up for Gmail” or go to this page. After almost three years of invitation-only access, Gmail gradually opened in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Egypt and now everywhere.

Even if Yahoo’s mail service is more popular than Gmail, I still find Google GMail to be the most efficient webmail experience.
