There are lots of these mismatches in the plot. This kind of story in known as “escape” story which is interpreted into “action” in movies. The main importance is excitement, mystery, and fantasy. We don't need to take the events that serious.

i don't understand the part were charlie,desmond,hurley and jin hear the sound of helicopter-then something crash into water..but they see the red light on the sky without sound of helicopter? and after this episodes, that helicopter was on the island? wtf?
