Neimple’s First Theme: Pearl
It seems to be a black pearl.
Simple example what Pearl theme does for you when you are using wordpress widgets is that if you see the sidebar contents of this post of mine are different from all the other posts.
Yes it was possible but people have been having problems using the conditional tags in sidebar to facilitate flexible widget support on wordpress pages. With pearl you can extend the functionality of using different sidebar content on different pages that too with a customizaiton of 2 simple steps. Another point is that I happen to be newbie in designing wordpress themes. So you might note that the theme has been coded in a really simple manner which I hope every newbie will be able to understand.
Moreover the theme is a xhtml valid and CSS validated. I have just tried a bit to play around with the theme to remove even the css validaiton warnings.
So the theme comes without the css validation errors and warnings. Another part that was very well looked upon while designing this theme was that it should look same while using whatever browser you use it on.
The theme was designed on mozilla and constantly tested on IE6 (Not IE7) and all the other browsers the theme has been tested on are Netscape,Mozilla,Opera. If you find any issues please do let us know. The non-widget version of the Pearl theme has been added to the zip download package.
